WHAT
to expect
Many couples like to use their photos on their Save the Date cards so sessions are typically planned 9-12 months before the wedding date. Together, we can figure out location options, dress attire, or other personalizations for your session to make sure it's just how you hope it to be!

I will check-in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about your timeline, family portrait lists, and anything else I should know prior to your big day. A lot of the detailed information I will need from you will be filled out in my questionnaire.
While I normally don't send this questionnaire until closer to the wedding, please don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions during the planning process!
wedding day prep
You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within 60 days from your wedding. In the meantime, be prepared to receive all kinds of sneak peeks! Trust me, I am equally excited to get started on your images!
I hope the relationship doesn't end after I deliver your photographs. I want to hear about the adventures of married life. And if you decide to start a family, I'd love to document all your special milestones.

Each of my packages include a complimentary engagement session. I believe engagement sessions are an important element to the wedding experience, but probably not for the reason you're thinking or may even have been told from friends or other photographers! Have you heard, "Do an engagement session because it's good practice for the wedding"? Well I think that's a myth. Why? Because there's no practicing for a wedding day. Not even a rehearsal is a true practice. All the emotions, details and timelines of a wedding day are a completely different ball game,
Take all the pressure off this session and see it for what it really is. It's a time to slow down, take a beat, pop a cork, put your phones down, be with your person and get some beautiful pictures of the two of you before you get married. That's all!
Added bonus, I get to spend quality time with the both of you! After all, I will be spending the most important day of your lives with you!
when do you charge travel fees?
I typically add travel fees on to any wedding outside of a 60 mile radius from my home in Williamsburg, Virginia. Fees vary depending on location so ask for more details.
The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding, but on average, I deliver around 800 images for 8 hours of coverage. Your online gallery will come loaded with fully edited high resolution images you can print anywhere. You’re also welcome to share your wedding photos on social media, and I hope you'll remember to credit me!
HOW MANY PHOTOS ARE TYPICALLY INCLUDED AND CAN WE PRINT THE PHOTOS OURSELVES?
Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, I'll need a completed contract and a $500 non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance will be due 1 week before the wedding.
